15 Minutes for Moi

Well, well, well. I was hoping to make some gains in 2026 with You Rock Studio, and it turns out the Universe had other plans — namely, hitting the fast-forward button.

A couple of weeks ago, a columnist from the Houston Chronicle reached out and asked if I’d be interested in telling him my story. The only sane answer to that question was: ABSOLUTELY. 🙂 He came down to Austin, we had a long lunch at the Domain, then spent a few more hours back at my apartment, where I basically gushed non-stop about what I’ve been building, thinking about, wrestling with, and loving on this unexpected path I’ve found myself on.

All of that somehow turned into the column you can read here: Austin Tech Veteran Finds her Sound with AI. Since it ran, I’ve already had a few inquiries come in through the You Rock Studio site, and my Spotify numbers have literally tripled — though full disclosure, that might also have something to do with a LinkedIn post I shared around the same time.

I haven’t even shared this news on LinkedIn yet, but I will next week once I figure out how I want to frame it. For now, I’m just letting it land. And yes, I know — it’s only (Country) rock ’n’ roll, but I like it. I like it. Yes, I do.
